Founder / Counselor

Clark holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Myitkyina University and has over five years of experience working in mental health and psychosocial support across humanitarian, NGO, and community-based settings. His work has focused on providing counseling, psychosocial support, and mental health training for refugees, migrants, and conflict-affected communities. He has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, addiction counseling, relationship counseling, and stress management. As the founder of Clark Care Counseling, he leads program coordination, service delivery, and client assessment to support Myanmar migrants and refugees.

Dr. Ei Ei Mon

Dr. Ei Ei Mon

Co-founder/ Program Manager / Counselor

Dr. Ei Ei Mon is a medical doctor and psychiatrist with over seven years of experience in clinical practice and humanitarian mental health response. She specializes in trauma-informed psychosocial counseling for forcibly displaced persons, political activists, and individuals in conflict-affected settings. She has extensive experience providing tele-counseling and psychiatric consultations for populations in restricted-access areas and has contributed to capacity-building initiatives, including mhGAP and Psychological First Aid (PFA) training. She holds an MMed.Sc in Psychiatry from the University of Medicine (2), Myanmar, and is currently a candidate in the Clinical Psychology Diploma Program of the Myanmar Clinical Psychology Consortium.

Chachareeya Marica

Chachareeya Marica

Program Development Executive

Chachareeya Marica holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Development from Mae Fah Luang University and has over three years of experience in humanitarian work with Myanmar migrants, refugees, and displaced populations. Her professional experience spans roles as a Case Manager, Social Worker, and Education Officer (Child Development) with NGOs and INGOs working across urban refugee settings in Bangkok and border communities in Mae Sot. Her work has focused on protection case management, psychosocial support, child development, and coordination with community-based and multi-stakeholder partners. She joins Clark Care Counseling Initiative with a strong commitment to improving access to compassionate, dignified, and culturally sensitive mental health and psychosocial support for vulnerable communities.

Volunteer Counselor

Gracy is currently pursuing an MSc in Psychology at the University of Sunderland, UK. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies from the Liberal Arts Program at MIT University, where she also completed an elective in counseling, developing her interest in mental health and psychological support. Following her graduation, she volunteered at a COVID-19 center, providing patient care and emotional support during a critical time. She has also been actively involved in community work, contributing to initiatives that promote well-being and social support. She is passionate about supporting individuals through emotional challenges and is committed to developing her skills in counseling through evidence-based and empathetic approaches.

Tracy

Senior Counselor

Tracy is a Master of Social Work student specializing in Mental Health at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. She holds a degree from the University of Nursing in Mandalay and has over 7 years of experience working with NGOs and civil society organizations that support marginalized communities. Her work has focused on mental health services for Kachin internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugee populations along the Thailand–Myanmar border. Tracy currently provides counseling through her private practice and volunteers as a counselor at Clark Care Counseling, using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches such as CBT, ACT, and Psychodynamic Therapy.

Dr. Israel Ying Ding

Senior Counselor

Israel Ying Ding is a mental health counselor with over five years of experience supporting individuals in humanitarian and crisis-affected settings. He is a WHO mhGAP-trained medical doctor, and is currently pursuing an MSc in Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing (UK). Over the course of his career, he has received extensive training in mental health and psychosocial support and has worked with UN agencies and international humanitarian organizations. He is known for his compassionate, respectful, and client-centered approach, and is committed to providing a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their difficulties and work toward healing and wellbeing.

Clinical Supervisor

Karolina is a Polish clinical professional based in Poland, currently serving as a clinical supervisor for counselors at Clark Care Counseling Initiative. She holds a Master's degree in Intercultural Psychology and has completed four years of specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Karolina is an experienced practitioner who works with a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. She is also actively involved in managing and running three clinics across Poland, where she provides mental health services and oversees clinical work. With her strong clinical background, she offers ongoing supervision and guidance to ensure the quality and effectiveness of counseling services at Clark Care.

San Htoi Lun

San Htoi Lun

Admin (Volunteer)

San Htoi Lun oversees administrative operations for Clark Care Counseling Initiative, supporting the organization’s mission to expand accessible, affordable, and culturally sensitive mental health care for Myanmar migrants and refugees. He holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resources and the Environment from Cornell University, where he specialized in wildlife conservation in armed-conflict regions in the northern part of Myanmar. His academic work included ethnographic research in Kachin society, ethnic armed conflict, and international nature conservation efforts. He is currently working as a Burmese medical interpreter providing culturally informed language support across medical, legal, insurance, finance, and public sectors. His background in conflict-sensitive research and cross-cultural communication strengthens the organization’s efforts to reduce barriers to mental health care and ensure safe counseling services for Myanmar migrants living overseas.

Program Coordinator

Phoo Pwint Sone serves as a Program Coordinator Volunteer at the Clark Care Counseling Initiative, bringing a structured, detail-oriented, and organized approach to the organization's operations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Assumption University of Thailand and is currently advancing her education by studying Energy Systems Engineering at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Germany. Her academic background in science and engineering equips her with strong logical problem-solving and structured planning skills, which she leverages to streamline daily processes and ensure smooth operations. Driven by a global perspective gained from living and studying across Southeast Asia and Europe, she is motivated by a lifelong passion for learning and a deeply rooted commitment to supporting her community's well-being.

Advocacy and Communication Officer

Paranut Juntree (Alex) is currently serving as the Advocacy and Communication Officer at the Clark Care Counseling Initiative. He is a dedicated advocate, practitioner, and humanitarian documentary filmmaker bridging the gap between field-level care and strategic communication. His background spans policy research, civic engagement, and impactful multimedia storytelling. Alex's experience features a unique combination of frontline refugee casework and documentary filmmaking with Myanmar refugee communities, allowing him to humanize complex displacement issues with dignity. He holds a degree in political science and international relations. Driven by a strong interest in psychology and mental health, which he plans to pursue through future advanced studies, and trained in Mental Health First Aid and suicide prevention, he is committed to fostering resilient support systems for vulnerable populations.

Aung Thu Ko

Aung Thu Ko

Mental Health Practitioner

Aung Thu Ko is a Mental Health Practitioner at Clark Care Counseling Initiative, providing online individual counseling under professional supervision. He supports individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, emotional difficulties, and various life challenges, with a particular focus on youth, migrant workers, and low-income communities. He also facilitates emotional well-being and mindfulness workshops, helping participants build practical coping strategies, resilience, and self-awareness. Aung Thu Ko holds a Diploma in Counseling Psychology and an Executive Diploma in Applied Psychology from Lincoln University. He has completed Basic and Advanced Counseling Skills Training through Counseling Corner and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Psychotherapy to further strengthen his clinical knowledge and practice. He is committed to providing culturally sensitive and person-centered mental health support that is accessible to underserved and vulnerable populations.

Hsu Mi Khaing

Hsu Mi Khaing

Mental Health Practitioner

Hsu Mi Khaing is a mental health practitioner and counseling trainee based in Myanmar with experience in psychosocial support (MHPSS), Psychological First Aid (PFA), and community-based mental health programs. She has supported workshops on emotional expression, reflective practices, art-based activities, and child-centered play through her volunteer work as a co-facilitator with ADORE Mental Wellbeing and Care. She has also served as a Community Facilitator in an emergency earthquake response project, providing MHPSS support to affected communities. She has completed training in Intermediate and Basic Counseling Skills, Psychosocial Support (PSS), Suicide Prevention & Crisis Helpline, and Emergency Pedagogy. She is currently studying Health Science at the University of the People and has a medical education background from the University of Medicine Mandalay. She is committed to providing empathetic, ethical, and culturally sensitive support while continuing to develop professionally in the mental health field.

Kyi Aye Chan Khin

Kyi Aye Chan Khin

Mental Health Practitioner

Kyi Aye Chan Khin serves as a Mental Health Practitioner at Clark Care Counseling Initiative. She is a psychology graduate from the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, where she developed her interest in clinical and counseling support. She has also completed training in Psychological First Aid (PFA). Her experience includes providing behavioral and emotional support to children in educational settings, supporting individuals with diverse learning and emotional needs, and working with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Having studied, worked, and lived in multicultural environments, she has developed strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, and the ability to communicate with empathy and respect across differences. She is committed to supporting the wellbeing of Myanmar migrant and refugee communities through culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and community-based support.

Mental Health Practitioner

Hau Khawm Hwae (April) is a Mental Health Practitioner at Clark Care Counseling Initiative. She has completed Basic and Intermediate Counseling Skills Training and psychosocial support training and is currently pursuing Advanced Counseling Training. In addition to providing mental health support, April brings experience in communications and social media marketing, backed by her academic background, including a Master of Business Administration (MBA). She is committed to creating a safe and empathetic space where individuals feel heard, respected, and supported through life's challenges.
